New Starts
Welcome World to the new look rojojam.com......I hope you like it. Early days but so far I'm pretty pleased with the way things are looking, feel free to nose around and tell me otherwise! there is plenty of content missing at the moment but those will all be sorted out over the course of this week.
I've decided in many ways 2008 is a year for change in my life.....I'm hoping changes for the better. Some big ones have already taken place this year (and good ones) and I'm hoping to make others as the years trundles on. This website overhaul marks another change (again hopefully positive).
I'd been running the site in its old form for about 2 years and it was beginning to look tired and my lack of regular updates made the content lack any real continuity so it was time for a change. I could of quite easily upgraded the old database and kept the old content around but like I say this is the year for 'new starts' so I took the executive descision to wipe the slate clean. This has been handy as I've been able to lose a few of the things that were irritating me on the old version (free tagging and a few other bits) but does have the negative effect of breaking any links that may exist to me out there in webby land (oh well thems the breaks!).
all about stu
Hello my name is Stuart and I live in a nice seaside town in Dorset on the south coast of England, I was born here and because it's nice here I've never contemplated living anywhere else, although I still enjoy traveling about when the opportunity arises.
I'm 28 years old and am happily married and have a Daughter who is 5 years old. My day job entails working as a Systems Administrator for a government agency (yawnsville!) . It pays the bills but does not satisfy my creative urges so I spend a lot of time endulging myself in my hobbies which at the moment include Photography (duh!), Web Design (mostly drupal based), Music ( I love to listen and also play bass and guitar) and the odd bit of drawing. I also like to play computer games and am a member of team =v4v=. I don't play half as much as I used to mainly due to time constraints but I have some good friends there.
I guess one day it would be nice to have a day job that lets me stretch and indulge my creative side but I currently lack the confidence in my own abilities to make it happen and I have to say the comfortable civil service salary makes leaving my current job with a family to support quite difficult.
If by some small chance your reading this and have some money you wish to spend hiring a multi-disciplined creative kinda guy then please feel free to contact me.

Background
I ♥ Photographs...I love seeing other peoples images, I love how a photographer can catch the moment or the beauty or the emotion of a subject and freeze it in time to be enjoyed or studied again and again. I like how the inriguing or the trivial or the mundane can be brought to life in a photograph.....I just love photos.
I also like taking photographs, I like to experiment, I like to try and do all the things I listed above....I guess at times the process can also be just as stimulating as the end result!
I'm strictly an Amatuer Photographer (for the time being) but I'm quite proud of some of the results I achieve and some of the things I've captured. If you like my work and want me to take some photographs for you please do not hesitate to contact me.
Flickr
Flickr is a photosharing site I use to keep all of my photos online. I use flickr beacause it has a great community of very talented photographers from all over the world sharing, discussing and obsessing about images. They also keep my images safe and generally look after me very well.
